Lessons & Tuition/Pass
Plus
NORMAL
LESSONS
ONE TO
ONE
We all know it is a nerve-racking experience learning to drive, which is why
you will never have another pupil sitting in on your lesson. Your course of
lessons will be on a strictly one to one basis. You will also always
have the same instructor (Except in unforeseen circumstances).
At WILD, all of your lessons will take place in car (no classroom lessons) to
maximise your learning. Your instructor, roadworthy and fully insured for you
to drive, will provide the car; it will also be fitted with Dual Controls for
your safety.
INTENSIVE COURSES
If you want to learn to drive, but don't want to take months to do so, you
may want to consider taking an Intensive Course. The Intensive Course
consists of between 15 and 40 hours, over a period of 3 to 8 days (5 hours
per day). You would still have to book your test in the normal way, and all
tests are subject to DSA Test Availability. You must also have passed your
Theory Test before you can book a Practical Test.
If you want
to learn to drive in your own car, this may also be possible, but it is your
responsibility to be insured and your instructor will need to see the
insurance certificate.
THEORY
ASSISTANCE
If you need any assistance with your Theory and Hazard Perception, then help
is at hand. You can have the option of purchasing CD-ROM’s, or
alternatively we can supply you with paper Theory tests and video Hazard
Perception. Also, if you are not sure of an answer or don’t understand
the reason behind the answer, just ask your instructor, who will be happy to
help.
REFRESHER, MOTORWAY AND ADVANCED LESSONS
At WILD, we
offer a range of driving tuition from complete beginner right through to the
advanced driver.
REFRESHER
If you have passed your test a few years ago and haven't driven since, or you
want to get behind the wheel, but hasn’t the confidence, then give us a
call. You can have as many lessons as it takes to get your self-confidence
back, knowing that you are in a safe environment with a Fully Qualified
Instructor.
MOTORWAY
On the other hand, you may have just passed your test or be an
experienced driver and want to experience driving on the motorway the safe
and proper way, then you can try a short motorway journey to start with then
further as you need. After all, mile for mile, motorways are the safest roads
due to the absence of a number of hazards:
- Pedestrians
- Cyclists
- Roundabouts
- Oncoming traffic
- Right Turning Traffic
ADVANCED
If you're the person reading this thinking 'I know all of this, you can't
teach me anything, I'm a good driver', then why not challenge yourself to
becoming an Advanced Driver. Come and see how good you really are.
Whatever
your driving needs, WILD can help.
PASS PLUS
If you have
passed your driving test within the last 12 months, and you want to save
money on your car insurance, then Pass Plus is for you. Pass Plus is a
voluntary scheme and comprises of a 6 module-training syllabus designed by
the DSA to accelerate the acquisition of driving experience and thus improve
the safety of new drivers. Pass Plus offers benefits to:
- Newly qualified drivers -
fewer accidents and cheaper insurance
- Insurers - fewer claims from
inexperienced drivers
- The general public - safer
roads
The modules covered in Pass Plus are:
- Town driving
- All weather driving
- Rural driving
- Night driving
- Dual carriageway driving
- Motorway driving
The Pass Plus course consists of a minimum of 6 hours tuition.
At WILD, your instructor is registered to teach Pass Plus - not all
instructors are! There is no test at the end of the course, but you must
reach an acceptable standard, assessed by your instructor. If for any reason,
you do not reach this standard, extra time may be allowed. This will be
discussed with you at the time if necessary.
On
completion of Pass Plus you will receive a Pass Plus Training Report Form.
You must send this to the DSA, who will then send you your full certificate,
entitling you to an insurance discount from a list of participating insurance
companies.
Pass Plus
is a great way to gain experience and confidence in a safe environment,
rather than the usual way of trial and error.
