Code of Conduct / Terms and Conditions
- Your instructor will do everything
possible to ensure that your lessons start and finish on time, but
reserve the right to cancel, postpone or change lesson lengths and times
under certain circumstances (E.g. dangerous weather conditions).
- In the event of changes by the
instructor, lesson fees paid in advance, or an appropriate portion
thereof, will be carried forward with no loss to the pupil.
- Tuition Fees are payable in
advance. If you need to cancel a lesson for any reason, you must give a
minimum of 48 hours notice for a single lesson of up to 2 hours. Longer
lessons need a minimum of 4 days notice. If the appropriate cancellation
notice is not received, you will lose that lesson's fee. The
cancellation period required for an Intensive Course is a minimum of 7
working days (Monday – Friday). If you cancel your course within 7
working days of the start date, you will lose the full course fee.
- If you try to confirm any
booking/cancellations by telephone, text or e-mail, you must receive a
reply from your instructor for the booking/cancellation to be confirmed.
If you do not get a reply, it will be assumed you have not sent/left a
message; therefore you will be liable for any lesson costs or instructor
expenses.
- Tuition fees can be paid in cash
or cheque (Cheques payable to your instructor).
- Regarding the Intensive
Courses, some people may need fewer lessons and some people may need
more lessons. You must respect the judgement of your instructor. Any
additional lessons will be charged at £22/hour. If you do not need the
full amount of lessons paid for, you will be refunded the difference.
- You must only book a practical
test under advice from your instructor. If you proceed to book a
practical test against the advice of your instructor, your instructor
may withhold the use of the car for your test.
- If you try to book a practical
test, and a test date is available within 10 clear working days (Monday
– Friday), you must phone to check with your instructor BEFORE
booking the test. This is to make sure the car is available, and that
you are not double booking your instructor with another pupil.
- In certain circumstances your
instructor may, at any time prior to your test, withdraw the use of the
car for your test. This would normally only be done as a matter of
safety, and is at your instructor's sole discretion. You will be given a
full explanation and as much notice as possible. If there is a problem with
the car, we will do our best to provide a replacement car if possible.
- Your instructor will do
everything possible to help you to reach test standard as soon as
possible. At no time will your instructor recommend that you need extra
lessons if you do not need them. You must, however, respect the
judgement of your instructor if they think you are not ready for your
test.
- Any fixed prices or special
offers may be changed and/or withdrawn at any time, without prior
notice.
- Your instructor will conduct
himself professionally at all times, and has agreed to abide by the DSA
Code of Conduct. Any complaints made about your instructor should be
reported to Andrew Stannard on 01233 662832.
- *Lesson prices quoted to you
on your first lesson are guaranteed throughout your tuition, unless you
have a break between lessons of more than 3 weeks.
- **Please Note;
there may be an additional charge per hour for lessons starting or
finishing outside of a 10-minute radius from Ashford town centre. This
will be at the discretion of your instructor.
- ***If you book
an Intensive Course, we require that you pay an immediate non-refundable
deposit of £100 to secure your place. The remainder of the course fee is
to be paid and any cheques cleared at least 7 working days (Monday
– Friday) prior to the beginning of the course. If you book the
course within 7 working days from the start of the course, the full
course fee must be paid immediately, and if possible, any cheques are to
be cleared before the start of the course.
